If your shocks are visibly rusty/corroded, please reach out and send us pictures of the shocks in question. Heavy corrosion on shock parts can make things very difficult to take apart without potentially breaking things. They also typically need additional parts. which can reduce the cost saving benefits of performing a rebuild versus buying a new set.
